The 90-day lead guarantee from Smart Marketing First, Abbotsford BC

Smart Marketing First guarantees at least 10 qualified leads captured and logged by our tracking systems during the 90 day guarantee period, which runs from your Campaign Launch Date. A qualified lead is a real inbound inquiry from someone in your service area asking about the services you sell: a tracked call over 30 seconds, a completed form, a chat or direct message, or a booking request. If fewer than 10 are logged, you get one additional 90 day service period with no agency fee, requested in writing within 14 days of the period ending. It is a guarantee of lead volume delivered, not of revenue, bookings or closed jobs, and it is not a refund.

The guarantee applies to Local Growth System packages where it is marked yes in Schedule A of your agreement. Conditions, exclusions and the full list of what does not count as a lead are all set out below rather than buried.

The Definition

What Counts As a Qualified Lead

A qualified lead is a verifiable inbound inquiry from a real person in, or seeking service in, your service area, asking about the commercial services you sell. It has to be captured and logged by our tracking systems, and it has to come from a marketing asset we manage.

Counts toward the 10

  • A phone call over 30 seconds to a tracking number we manage
  • A completed contact form, quote request, consultation request or intake questionnaire with real contact details
  • An inbound chat or direct message through any chat, messaging or social channel we manage
  • A booking or appointment request through a booking system we manage
  • Any other inbound inquiry our tracking captures from an asset we manage

Leads count whether or not the person has bought from you before. We have no way to check your customer history, so we make no claim about which leads are new to you.

Does not count

  • Spam and solicitation. Bots, automated submissions, vendor pitches, SEO and marketing offers
  • Internal traffic. Test submissions, our own audits, your own test contacts, job seekers
  • Communication errors. Wrong numbers, calls under 30 seconds with no message, inquiries clearly outside your service scope
  • Duplicates. The same person about the same matter within 30 days. The first one counts, the rest do not

Every excluded category is one we can identify from the recording or the submission itself. None of them depend on whether the job closed.

Which packages carry the guarantee

The 90-Day Lead Guarantee applies to Local Growth System packages where it is marked yes in Schedule A of your service agreement. The 90 day period starts on your Campaign Launch Date, which is the date we confirm in writing that all tracking is live and advertising campaigns have started serving. If no Campaign Launch Date is recorded in Schedule A, the guarantee does not begin and does not apply.

Ask us which of our plans includes it before you sign. It is written on your Schedule A either way, so you never have to guess.

The Count

How Leads Are Tracked and Reported

The guarantee is a number, so the number has to be visible. You see every lead we count, every month, and you can challenge any one of them.

  • Everything is logged automatically. Calls, forms, chats, messages and booking requests are captured by our tracking systems as they arrive. Nothing is counted from memory or added by hand at the end.
  • You get a lead report at least monthly. Each logged qualified lead is listed by date, source and channel, so you can match it against what actually reached your phone.
  • You have 14 days to dispute any lead. If you think something was classified wrongly, tell us in writing within 14 days of the report it appears in. Leads not disputed in that window are final.
  • Tracking records are the official count. For the purposes of this guarantee, our tracking system records are the authoritative record of lead volume. That is why the report goes to you monthly rather than at the end.
  1. Campaign Launch

    Day 0

We confirm in writing that tracking is live and campaigns are serving. The 90 days start here.

  2. Every month

    Lead report

Each qualified lead listed by date, source and channel. Dispute window opens.

  3. Day 90

    Final count

Ten or more logged, the guarantee is met. Fewer, and the remedy is available to you.

  4. Within 14 days

    You claim in writing

Written notice within 14 days of the period ending. Miss that window and the remedy is waived.

Note on timing: any day a guarantee condition is not met is a suspended day, and each one pushes the end of the guarantee period back by a day. Your monthly report shows where the period currently ends, so the deadline is never a surprise.

The Remedy

What Happens If We Miss

If fewer than 10 qualified leads are logged during the guarantee period, you get one additional 90 day service period with no agency fee. We keep running your campaigns, your tracking and your follow-up for another quarter, and you do not pay us for that work.

You have to ask for it in writing within 14 days of the guarantee period ending. Email info@smartmarketingfirst.com. If that window passes without notice, the remedy is waived. We will flag the deadline in your final report, but the notice has to come from you.

During the additional period you still cover third party costs: advertising spend at no less than your Schedule A minimum, hosting, CRM, telephony and AI usage fees. All the conditions below still apply. The additional period is not itself covered by the guarantee, and the remedy can be used once.

This is continued work, not money back. It does not include a refund, credit, rebate, damages or a reduction of fees already paid. That is consistent with our Refund Policy.

Your Side

Conditions That Keep the Guarantee Alive

The guarantee assumes the system can actually run and that we can measure it. These are the conditions from your agreement, in plain English, and there are no others.

Ad budget stays funded

The minimum monthly advertising spend in your Schedule A is maintained, funded and uninterrupted, for the whole period.

Subscriptions stay active

Third party services needed to deliver the work stay live: hosting, CRM, telephony and AI usage tokens.

Approvals inside 5 business days

Recommended changes are approved, or rejected with a reason, within five business days of being sent to you.

No unapproved edits

No changes to the website, Google Business Profile, ad accounts or connected social accounts without our written approval first. Unannounced edits break tracking and skew the count.

Tracking stays intact

Call tracking numbers, form endpoints, conversion tags and CRM integrations are not altered, disabled, removed or bypassed.

Account in good standing

No payment more than seven days overdue at any point in the period.

Materials on time

Logins, content and images provided within seven days of request, and your business hours, address and phone kept accurate.

Suspended days

Any day a condition above is not met is a suspended day, and the guarantee period is extended by one day for each. If suspended days total more than 14, the guarantee is void.

The guarantee is void if

  • The account is not in good standing
  • Tracking infrastructure is altered, removed, disabled or bypassed
  • Suspended days exceed 14 in total
  • The business information, service area or service scope you gave us is materially inaccurate

None of these are judgment calls on our side. Each one is something visible in the account, the tracking or the billing record, and we will raise it with you at the time rather than at the Day 90 review.

The Limits

What This Guarantee Is Not

We guarantee lead volume, because lead volume is what we control. Being straight about the rest is the reason the promise above is worth anything.

  • It is not a promise of revenue, sales or bookings. A qualified lead is an inbound inquiry. It does not require the person to book a job, sign a contract, pay a deposit or finish your sales process. Quoting, following up and closing stays with you.
  • It is not a return on investment guarantee. Our obligation is met when verified lead data is delivered and logged in the tracking system. What those leads are worth depends on your pricing, your close rate and your capacity.
  • It is not a ranking guarantee. We do not control Google or Meta, so we make no promise about rankings, traffic or ad performance. What we control is the work those platforms reward, and the tracking that proves what came back.
  • It is not a refund. The remedy is one additional 90 day service period with no agency fee. It does not include a refund, credit, rebate or reduction of fees already paid.

Everything outside Section 4 of the agreement is provided as is. If an agency will guarantee you a number one ranking, ask them to put the mechanism in writing. Rankings are decided by Google, not by any agency.

Common Questions

Lead Guarantee Questions, Answered

What exactly does the 90-day lead guarantee promise?

That at least 10 qualified leads are captured and logged by our tracking systems during the 90 day guarantee period. A qualified lead is a real inbound inquiry from a person in your service area, asking about the services you sell, captured by a marketing asset we manage. It is a guarantee of lead volume delivered, not of revenue, bookings or closed jobs.

Which packages does the lead guarantee apply to?

Local Growth System packages, where the guarantee is marked yes in Schedule A of your service agreement. The 90 days run from your Campaign Launch Date, which is the date we confirm in writing that tracking is live and advertising campaigns have started serving. If no Campaign Launch Date is recorded in Schedule A, the guarantee does not begin. Ask which of our plans carries it before you sign. It is written on your Schedule A either way.

What counts as a qualified lead?

A phone call over 30 seconds to a tracking number we manage. A completed contact, quote, consultation or intake form with real contact details. An inbound chat or direct message. A booking request through a booking system we manage. Or any other inbound inquiry our tracking captures from an asset we manage.

Leads count whether or not the person has bought from you before. We have no way to check your customer history, so we make no claim about which leads are new to you.

What does not count as a qualified lead?

Spam, bots, vendor sales pitches and marketing solicitations. Test submissions, our own audits and job seeker inquiries. Wrong numbers, calls under 30 seconds with no message, and inquiries clearly outside your service scope. Duplicate inquiries from the same person about the same matter within 30 days, where the first counts and the rest do not.

You can dispute the classification of any lead in writing within 14 days of the report it appears in.

What happens if you log fewer than 10 qualified leads?

You get one additional 90 day service period with no agency fee. You must request it in writing within 14 days of the guarantee period ending, or the remedy is waived. During that period you still cover third party costs, including ad spend at no less than your Schedule A minimum, hosting, CRM, telephony and AI usage.

The remedy can be used once, and the additional period is not itself covered by the guarantee. It is continued work, not a refund, credit or rebate. See our Refund Policy.

Can the guarantee be voided?

Yes. It is void if the account is not in good standing, if tracking infrastructure is altered, removed, disabled or bypassed, if suspended days exceed 14 in total, or if the business information, service area or service scope you gave us is materially inaccurate.

A suspended day is any day a guarantee condition is not met, and each one extends the guarantee period by a day rather than ending it.

Can you guarantee a number one ranking, or a set amount of revenue?

No. Rankings are Google's decision and we do not control third party platforms, so we make no promise about rankings, traffic or ad performance. We also make no promise of revenue, sales, bookings or return on investment. What we guarantee is lead volume delivered and logged. Quoting, following up and closing the work stays with you.
